This release includes articles dating back to when Bud first signed with the Mets organization in 1963, through his playing career including the World Championship in 1969, the fight with Pete Rose in 1973, his decline and trade to the Phillies, his return to the Mets organization as a minor league manager and then a major league coach, his turbulent tenure as Mets manager and his association with the Long Island Ducks. 	Mets Land Foy to Play 3d, Send Otis, Johnson to KC New York Daily News, December 4, 1969 One of the Mets earliest regrettable trades was the one that sent Amos Otis to the Royals for Joe Foy. Otis would go on to play 14 seasons in Kansas City, winning three Gold Gloves and making five All-Star teams. Foy was... less successful.
