Talk about good throwing arms this guy had a great one. Could throw from the coach's box to first on a line. Unfortunately couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, ending his career at a young age.

I couldn't understand why a guy who went 3/33 in a Mets uniform was the most popular lookup on 25 June. But after I read and learned that he was the coach of the College World Series champion Rice University, I could understand why.

Past or present, it just goes to show that anyone associated with the Amazin' Mets can still wield that special magic no matter where they go. Congratulations, Wayne!

Although he did nothing in the majors, Graham hit at least .300 in six of his ten minor league seasons, including .330 in 1959 and .311 in 1962.

I don't know much about his time with the Mets. I do know his time as teacher, and a coach. At Scarborough Sr. High he gave us the winning spirit. Scarborough is a very small school. I never played for him (broke my hand playing football). I do know this, he was our "Field of Dreams" coach. Everybody that ever played for him will be glad he left the Mets. Thanks You Coach Graham you're a winner! Casey Stengel would be proud.
