February 5, 2003 "The Blade" -- he was so skinny. He had some nice years for Sparky's Big Red Machine but had nothing left by the time he got to Shea.
May 19, 2003 Tom Hall had 2 big years with Minnesota before going to the Reds.
Has anyone noticed how much his physique and pitching style are similiar to Mariano Rivera's?
February 25, 2006 I remember using his 1970 card in strato-matic.He was almost unhittable.had some good years in the majors but that one was amazing.Better than a k an inning and an E.R.A around 2.80
July 21, 2007 It is a shame the Mets only got him late in his career when he did not have much left. He was an underrated swing man with nasty stuff with the Twins and Red in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He would have been great in the Mets bullpen and starting second games of doubleheaders in that period.
May 9, 2008 Broke into Ron Hodges' decade long reign as #42 for a day in 1975! Last time 42 was worn by a Met of little distinction (well before the recent tradition of everyone wearing 42 on Robinson Day).
