June 6, 2002 On a hot steamy afternoon in July of 1987 against the Atlanta Braves Bob Gibson made his first and only appearance for the Mets. I remember because I was at that game!
November 22, 2002 I saw the name and thought it would be THE Bob Gibson, who I always thought finished it up with one bad season for the Mets. I guess that Bob Gibson had his last season with the Cardinals and then coached with the Mets.
Unfortunately for this Bob Gibson, I guess the name and their occupation are their common characteristics.
February 5, 2003 If I recall correctly, this guy had unusually huge feet, size 18 or so -- he was called "Bigfoot."
February 28, 2004 Should be noted that in the 1991 Mets/Nobody Beats The Wiz 400+ "Every Met to ever play a game for the Mets" set that Bob's card shows the 1981 Met Assistant Pitching Coach. Yup, Hall of Famer Bob Gibson
So in other words, no baseball card seems to exist of the 1987 pitcher as a Met. (Does have a couple from his years with the Brewers though.)
