I was always wondering what happened to this guy. He seemed to be a decent outfielder with some pop in his bat but struck out an awful lot.

I loved watching Shawn play and have always thought his talent went unrecognized. And I disagree with "pookie's" comment--Shawn was a natural athlete with natural talent.

Shawn Hare was one of the most naturally talented ball players. He was misused and in my opinion was never given a proper chance to show his true talent. If you look up his AAA stats he was a great hitter and good outfielder. Certain managers, I will not name names, missed the boat by not playing him.

There's plenty of players that put up big stats in the minors, and never do anything in the majors. He's just another of them. Green made a lot of mistakes, but not giving Shawn 400 at bats wasn't one of them.
