HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:
October 17, 2002 The only bad year this guy really had was 95. Funny how this was with the Mets. Solid cog of Dierker's Astro teams.
a mets fan
March 26, 2003 He was really a decent player as well as a decent man, and I was very sorry about what happened when that Milwaukee fan threw objects at the poor guy.
October 21, 2004 I met him briefly in 2001. We were both having therapy at the same clinic. Back then I did not know who he was (I am not a sports person). I was surprised to know that he was famous because he did not act like it. He was very nice, not conceited at all.
August 19, 2006 Met Bill Spiers and his family when he was playing for the Houston Astros. Not only was he a good baseball player, but a very nice person as well. Was sad to see him leave. Good luck....
