HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:

I've seen Angel Pagan play in a few games this spring and he has impressed me so far. So what that he has NO POP in his bat, besides I'd rather see him in LF than Moises "M*A*S*H* 4077" Alou and Angel's last name reminds me of the organization P.A.G.A.N. (People Against Goodness And Normalcy) from the Dan Akyroyd/Tom Hanks "Dragnet" movie!!!

I can't believe no one else has posted about Angel, but perhaps we just want to forget 2009 as quickly as possible. But we can't forget that in a craptastic year, Angel was really the lone highlight. He hit for surprising power and put together a Jose Reyes type of season with the triples. Now if only he would actually think sometimes when he plays. Hope he is able to play a key role in the Mets' renaissance in 2010.

The ultimate in buy low, sell high. We got this guy from the Cubs for nothing, and he had a nice season WITH THE BAT in 2009. But facts are facts, and thankfully for Mets fans, Jason Bay renders Angel Pagan obsolete for 2010. Why keep him around as a fourth outfielder when he might have some trade value? He is an atrocious outfielder and base runner, but he has the speed to steal a base and leg out a triple. I say shop him for pitching help, youthful depth, whatever. Some dopey club will see the .300+ avg. and triples and make the deal. Anybody can be our fourth outfielder next year because they won't play anyway. I'd be perfectly satisfied with bringing back Cory Sullivan to fill that role. Jeremy Reed should be fine in the Atlantic League.

Thank God we didn't get rid of Pagan. He's been a godsend this season keeping us afloat. Who'd have ever thought that Angel would turn into this much of a fan favorite and the concern would be what to do about getting him at bats with hopefully a healthy Beltran headed back.

Angel Pagan has been a Godsend to the Mets this year. When he is at bat I feel very confident. There is no doubt that the Mets would not be in second place if he was not playing for this team. Frankly, although I like Beltran, Pagan has filled in for him quite well. I consider Pagan a deadly hitter this season. Go Angel!

He played with enthusiasm and gave many a pie in the face after "walk-off" wins (hate the term, but it is what it is). However, he made too many mental mistakes in the field and on the bases while not hitting well enough for the team to put up with those mistakes. Anyway, I wish him well.

Although I wish he were wearing a Mets uniform last night, I am very happy for Angel Pagan who won the World Series.
