I met Dillon last year at a Cyclone game when my wife and I sat next to him when he was charting pitches. He was a real gentleman and we had an interesting conversation with him. He invited us back to games he started. I'm happy to see his rapid rise to St. Lucie and now Binghamton and his great pitching this year.

Dillon Gee is a flat out BEAST!, 7-0

Is a 21st round draft pick. When he started 7-0 in 2011, I thought he could be a 20-game winner someday. Last year, after a rough start, he was able to adapt and put it together in the second half. When he's on his game, he pitches like Greg Maddux. Although it's dependent on the Mets offense scoring some runs for him, I still think he could be a 20-game winner if he can keep it together over the course of a season.

So long Dillion Gee, and good luck! You had 6 years with the Mets, showed some promise but didn't pan out, and now you've been released.

Had to see the writing on the wall when pitching ineffectively coming back from injury this year. Then days after getting sent down, your #35 was reassigned, and you weren't called up in September for the pennant race.

We'll remember your 7-0 start in 2011, and in 2014 you had the honor of joining the list of Mets opening day starters.

GEE WHIZ! (No pun intended) Talk about hard luck: Poor Dillon became an afterthought in the great season the Mets had! It's like when you're at a New Year's party and you wanna kiss the girl of your dreams but when midnight hits, some other guy winds up kissing her instead. Good luck, Dillon, maybe you'll wind up with the Rangers or Astros from your home state or perhaps a stint of indy ball aka Long Island Ducks or the St. Paul Saints might do the trick!
