Charlie was one of the funniest guys on the team. A crazy lefty. Brooklyn through and through. Did a Curly impression that could make you wet your pants. We played together in Wausau and Marion and I think in Jackson. Great arm, great move to first base. Could hit really well too. Heard he became a cop in Brooklyn. Charlie, hope all is well in your life.

Met Mr. Cummings when I was 10 years old and he played for the Appalachian League Mets Rookie Team in Marion, VA. He was a really nice guy, he and a few of the other players, Alex Trevino and others, would come over to our house after the game. He would give me pointers about playing baseball and one time gave me a team autographed baseball. Hope he is doing well, I'd really like to get an autographed baseball from him.
