I've been watching baseball for close to 40 years and Russ Clark is the one pitcher who should have made it to the majors but didn't. Obviously baseball is a strange game!

Teammate of mine, 1978 Lynchburg Mets and Jackson Mets. Had an unbelievable year in Lynchburg. Almost unhittable. Moved up to AA Jackson. Almost won two championships same year. One in Lynchburg but lost in the finals in AA. Great guy. Always smiling.

Spunky and Lozano are right on the money. I played with Russell in 75,76,78, and 79. In his early years he was a pretty wild guy. Then he got married and settled down. In 78 he was unbelievable in Lynchburg. Russell was a good guy from Moss Point, Miss. Always had some story to tell about home. Russell, we had some pretty good times in Wausau didn't we?
