HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:

During Frank Jacobs' first year in AA Binghamton, I was a bat boy for the AA Harrisburg Senators (Montreal Expos). I was then, always was before, and still to this day, a huge Mets fan. Whenever Binghamton would come into town, I would opt to be the visitor's bat boy. I struck a friendship with Frank. He was a great guy. An ex-Fullback for Notre Dame, he played in the 1988 National Championship against West Virginia. After an injury he pursued baseball. He was a great baseball player that unfortunately I never got to see in a N.Y. Mets uniform. He was just an all around great player and human being. I had got to talk to him, over the telephone, during spring training and during the off-season. A great piece of the Mets' organization. He was what baseball was all about, Class.

My son and I remember Frank winning a playoff game (1994) with a home run (Binghamton Mets) then lost track of him. We thought he moved up the ladder. Why did his career end so quickly, he put up good numbers in 1995?
