October 9, 2008 After the last game of the 1967 season (Winter Haven) and the ballplayers were negotiating their plans for going home, Eddy came up to me in the club house and ask if he could borrow ten dollars. He said he needed it for a bus ticket home and that he would send it to me once he got home. I gave it to him, I had just gotton paid, said goodby, and never heard from him again. He, Ron Paul, and Johnny Glass always seemed to hang out together. My impression of the three at that time was that they were goof-offs and fun to be with on road trips. Ten dollars was alot of money for me in those days. You see, I was 14 years old at that time and the bat boy.
That's just one story I have about the players of that year on that particular team.
