I remember seeing his name in the 1980 Mets yearbook and not even knowing what Cable TV was. Did anyone out there have cable in 1980?

I have some photographs that I took of Bob and another friend by the name of Don Shwartz. It was a trip we took to Cuba while Castro was still in the mountains brewing up a revolutuion. It was Bob's idea to vacation in beautiful Cuba! Bob was good when it came to sports, but current events? Forget it. His idea of reading newsworthy stories started and ended in the sports pages. At any rate, here I am 50 years later with a few pictures from the trip that I'd like to e-mail to him. Can you help me? Ken

Bob Goldsholl is a true professional. I believe he still is broadcasting at Bloomberg Radio. Back in the day, in the late 70's, he was a radio announcer for the National Hockey League's New York Islanders. Sportschannel started doing Mets games in '79 or '80, however I never heard his baseball work since cable TV didn't come to my area in Queens until circa 1987. Also I did have WHT which picked up the Sportschannel feed on occasion.
