September 18, 2012 One of my favorite almost-Mets of all time. He was a September 2008 call-up. Back then anyone who could reach home plate on a fly was getting a look out of the bullpen -- except for poor old Al. He never took the mound as a Met.
December 6, 2012 I'm pretty sure that in one of the September 2008 games that the Mets blew en route to missing the playoffs, Reyes was warming up in the bullpen. Close, but no cigar.
