HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:

I had the great pleasure of working with Denny Sommers during the 1975 baseball season with the Lafayette Drillers. Denny is one of the really good guys of the world. He was convinced that I got his apartment in the middle of Pinhook Rd.

Not sure what year of the 1970's it was but my dad's stepdad Henry Sommers and he took me to a Padres and Mets game at San Diego. Denny was first base coach for the Mets. Little did I know Denny was my dad's cousin on his stepdad's side. Denny called me down to the front row where he was standing before the game started and shook my hand and threw me a baseball. I still have it.
