HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:
March 8, 2005 A Philly baseball guy who came and went with Dallas Green. Took over as field manager whenever Dallas was ejected, which was often and usually fun to watch. As a Phillie player, Wine was a teammate of John Boozer and later Mets coach Cookie Rojas. To this day, people in Philadelphia still speak of the days of Wine and Rojas. All four men played on the infamous 1964 Phillies team that choked more disgracefully than any team in history until last year's New York Yankees (HOW GREAT WAS THAT?!?).
