The older brother of Leon Brown (1976 Mets). I did not know about him until recently. He played one game for the 1973 Expos. Conceivably, he might have gotten some action with the '69 Mets, but he got injured in midseason.

I played with Curt at Marion in 1965. We were starters at 2nd and short for 8 games, until Jim McAndrew and I were sent to Auburn in the NYP league. Marion had Jim Bibby, Steve Renko, Nolan Ryan, Billy Wynne, Don Shaw, McAndrew, etc. so our pitching was stacked! I see that Curt ended up hitting .304 for the '65 year and that is no surprise to me. He had some good triple A years, made it to the bigs for a cup of coffee with the Expos, and played in the Mexican league to round out his long baseball career. Terrific guy and great teammate, if only for a few beginning high pressure weeks in rookie ball.
