Shickhaus Franks
September 25, 2012
For my final visit to Citi in 2012, it was fantastic!! Ran into a couple of A's fans heading to the Bronx to take on the Evil Empire and I gave them some advice: BE CAREFUL. Got off the 7 train and I saw that the New York Lottery was there again and I met Yolanda Vega for the 2nd straight year, Without a doubt, she is a stunningly beautiful woman. WFAN's Joe Beningo has often said that his fantasies DON'T involve sports and since this is a family website I will keep my fantasies about me and Yolanda to myself.
The ballpark had plenty of pre-game stuff from fans walking their dogs to cheerleaders from grade school to the Jets Flight Crew doing their rah-rah stuff. R.A. was great until he got into some trouble in the 9th and Jon Rauch almost blew it but all turned out well as he got the last out. Even the maligned Jason Bay hit a home run right near the Apple. I know 2012 hasn't turned out the way that it should have but I know in my heart and the heart of the millions of loyal Mets fans: Better and brighter days are coming and the New York Mets will return to prominence and glory in the New York baseball (and sports) scene and that crooked, pop a pill and hit a home run outfit in the Bronx will be in the gutter! Let's go Mets!
Please note:
We're looking for your comments about this specific
game. We've had people use this space to share their thoughts on how the
current season is going, or on ways that the Mets can improve the team.
Such comments, unless in the context of
this particular game,
will be considered off-topic and will be removed.
Example One
The Mets suck! They need to trade Smith and get somebody like
Jones.
This comment is off-topic and will be removed. It has nothing to do with
any specific game. But here's an acceptable alternative:
Example Two
The Mets suck! Smith made three errors in this game, and hit into a
double play, and the Mets blew a 5-0 lead. They need to get rid of Smith
and get somebody like Jones.
See the difference? Here you're getting the same point across, but it's in
the proper context. We wouldn't consider this message to be off-topic, and
we would let it remain.
We do appreciate anybody who takes the time to share their thoughts on our
site, and we hate to remove anybody's postings. But if we didn't take
steps to ensure that only on-topic messages were retained, The Ultimate
Mets Database would become a confusing jumble of unrelated comments,
and would thus be less enjoyable to visitors like you.
Thank you!
