	Frank Thomas, Pirates star and original Met, dies at 93 The Day (New London, CT), January 20, 2023 Frank Thomas was one of the stars of the original 1962 Mets. His 32 home runs that year would remain a Mets season record until it was broken by Dave Kingman in 1975. This is his obituary.
