Man Who Built Yankees, George Weiss, Dies at 78
Newsday, August 14, 1972
Not only did Weiss build a dynasty in the Bronx, but he also helped build the franchise that would call Queens its home. He would serve as President of the Mets from 1962 to 1964. This is his obituary.
