He played with both my boys in the Throggs Neck Little League. My boys went on to be all-city for Fordham Prep. TJ was far better ballplayer than I ever watched. His dedication to this game could get him to the big show. tom lamacchia, bx ny.

Clutch hitter. Short career. Nobody, not even Met fans remember this guy. Kind of sad to see

This guy never was listed on any prospect lists but all he did was rake at the minor league level. Take a look at his career minor league stats. A contact, gap-to-gap hitter, I thought he'd be the right-handed equivalent of Daniel Murphy when Mets finally brought him up. And if you look, he kept producing at the major league level in the two partial seasons he played in Queens. Suffered a major elbow injury if I recall and never made it back.
