Frazier signed in 2018 and certainly tried. He brought the Jersey swag, did the salt and pepper shakes, in a way he was a replacement for Grandy. His stats were never what was expected of him, but I'd say his tenure was a success in Queens. Mets needed a competitive 3B after Wright and Frazier fulfilled that role, of course now we have McNeil. Not to mention he also rocked an insanely clutch home run in that game against Washington people won't forget for a long time, it was his signature moment. Wish him the best in Texas.

It's hard being one of David Wright's replacements at third base. A tough act to follow. But even when the Mets acquired him, I recognized Frazier for what he was -- yet another signing where the Mets got him after he'd already had his best years. Another attempt at trying to squeeze more juice out of something that's already been squeezed.
And Frazier did nothing to counter my assessment. He hit .233 in two years with the Mets. His OBP was .316. He didn't walk, his power was marginal. I'm glad they only kept him around for two years.
