What can you say about Banda? He came aboard to help maintain the Mets' tenuous lead in the National League East and didn't. He allowed 14 hits in 7.1 innings instead. The Pirates then took him off waivers and now he has a 3.00 ERA with them.
They sent Will Toffey to the Giants to get him originally, and in typical Mets fashion, now that he's gone from their system, Toffey is doing much better. He was hitting .178 at Binghamton; since leaving, he's batting .278 at Triple A.

Didn't do much as a Met. In fact, was quite bad in his limited stint with the team in 2021. However, became a vital part of the Dodgers' world championship team in 2024. Lefthander with plenty of life in his arm, can see why many teams took chances on him. Dodgers are pretty adept at getting the most out of players where other organizations have failed. Hoping the Mets become that kind of organization under Stearns and company.
