He was so nice. Once I was getting his autograph in my autograph book. On one page I had a list of my favorite players. It said "I love David Klenda". He saw it while flipping through the book. I was so embarrassed but he just laughed and said "At least I know I have one fan."

Teammate in Marion, Va. and Anderson, S.C. Had a great knuckle-curve and made the 40-man roster in 1976. Great years every year he pitched. Interesting feat: we are playing a game against Charleston Pirates In the Western Carolina League. Bottom of the ninth, 0-0, the pitcher by the name of Randy Healy has a perfect game going. He comes up and hits a home run. Great game.
