I have a 1984 New York Mets Team signed ball with Darryl Strawberry, Gary Carter, Davey Johnson, etc. But there were 2 signatures I couldn't figure out. One happened to be Rich Pickett. I only figured this out by google searching his name RICH, with different variations of Pick___ to figure out the rest. He never pitched in the Majors, so I don't know why he is on this baseball. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Hello Mets fans. I am not a fan of the Mets or any baseball team for that matter. I was just checking out things about Rich Pickett and I saw that there was one comment from Joann about a baseball signed by Rich. He was a relief pitcher for that game in which you have a ball from. As a matter of fact I have the New York Times newspaper with champagne being poured over him and Strawberry. So consider yourself lucky to have that ball. I am his neice and we would love to have one to show our kids and grandkids that all things are possible.

Richard Pickett was a hard throwing 6'2",210lb. lefty who played in the Mets organization, signed in the 1981 M.L.B. Draft by Met's Scouting Director Joe Mason. Richard is from Crystal Springs, Mississippi, played college baseball at Alcorn State University, Lorman, Mississippi. Richard will be inducted into the Alcorn State University Sports Hall of Fame in 2024.
