If this is the Jerry Wild that I remember from Monticello, GA, he was a good ball player. I grew up in that area and used to see him play in the community league. My older brother played with him too. Jerry went on to play minor league baseball for several years in the late 50's or early 60's - as I recall. I heard that Jerry died 4 or 5 years ago.
