Berra Signs 2-Year Pact as Mets' Manager; Staub Traded to Mets for Jorgy, Foli, & Singleton

In the wake of the death of Gil Hodges, Yogi Berra becomes the new Mets manager and, as the 1972 season is set to begin, the Mets make an 11th-hour deal for Rusty Staub.
