GREAT shot of Seaver's classic drop and drive delivery here.

Such a thing of beauty. Only Dwight Gooden's delivery was as graceful.

I've always wondered why every right-handed pitcher doesn't copy Seaver's delivery. Especially with pitchers like Rick Reed and Bobby Jones (control guys with low velocity). Why didn't they go all-out drop and drive? Were they content not being great?

Seaver was a pitching genius.
