Wow! I never knew that Tim Foli had a chance to be a college football quarterback. It can't be said that he was wrong to choose baseball with sixteen years in the major leagues, but what if Tim had opted to go the other way? John Elway (once a minor league outfielder) became very successful on the gridiron and it's reasonable to think that Foli would have also done just fine there. This may be a far-fetched thought, but perhaps Tim could've eventually led the Jets to a championship without his image being promoted artificially like it was for Joe Namath.

Vinson, in a perfect world, Steve Chilcott would have been the punter on the Superbowl-winning Jets team quarterbacked by Tim Foli.
