One of the classiest guys in baseball. He should have a bright future in the front office.

I have the honor of calling him my best friend and brother, and I am proud of all his achievements, both on and off the field.

I remember him being called up but I don't remember his at bat. Some career, 0-1. Didn't play for anyone else. Is that even considered a cup of coffee?

They called him up after the Mets put about a half- dozen middle infielders on the DL in the same two week span - Ordonez, Alexander, Shawn Gilbert, and there may have been another one or two.I think he grounded out in his only AB, at Shea, halfway through a game the Mets got torched in. Hundley was quoted in the papers as saying he had never heard of him before he was called up.

Kevin may have been unknown as a player, but he is very well known in baseball today as the Mets Director of Minor League Operations.

Got the pleasure of meeting Mr. Morgan after a game the Norfolk Tides played here in Indianapolis this season. He took the time to sign a baseball card and shake my hand. Seemed a fine gentleman. I truly enjoyed meeting a man that played for my New York Mets and still works for them. A couple years back saw Kevin in a newspaper photo joking with David Wright during spring training. If he has been helping in the minor league system the last few seasons (Wright, Reyes, and the rest) then he is certainly doing a great job.
