October 16, 2002 I was wondering what happened to him. I know the Astros were high on him after picking him up and then he disappeared.
October 21, 2002 Jim got into 17 games with the Astros this year (2002), pitching 22 innings and getting saddled with one loss, on June 5, when he gave up a run to Arizona in the bottom of the 13th. He also pitched a scoreless inning at Shea in that 10-0 Mets win at the end of July.
He'll be 28 in November and he has a grand total of 30 major league innings under his belt.
April 5, 2003 Originally a Rule V pick out of Toronto, we traded IF Jersen Perez for Mann before spring training 2000.
Never got a real look from the Mets, he might not have been a bad reliever.
May 10, 2004 Jim is currently with Columbus Clippers. I met him once try to get him to sign a card and he was very nice about it.
