Brady's a hustler. His baseball bats, however, are another story. They're so thin that they remind of something one would use playing wiffle ball. I guess they work, though; after all, he finished with a .417 mark with the Amazin's.
I also had the honor of scoring Brady's first Met hit, a ringing double against the Expos.

I remember the first day I saw Brady Clark. My sister and I weren't really into baseball yet. But we did like to look up at the players pictures on the screen and there he was...good old Mr Smiley. Well that's what we called him and ever since that day we both have loved baseball and brady clark like there is no tomorrow. Man what a player. GO BREWERS!

I became a fan of Brady Clark when he played for the Reds. When each Red came to bat, the PA played a short snippet of a song chosen by the player. Brady's song was "Shakedown Street" by the Grateful Dead, which is just cool.

Mets just got Brady back on a minor league deal. He's in the twilight of his career, but if he can provide right handed pop off the bench there's a spot for him on the team.
Also he was associated in us getting Pedro Feliciano, so I have a soft spot in my heart for him.

I remember Clark more for his second go-around with the Mets in 2008, when he somehow made the Opening Day roster. I actually vaguely recall seeing him in a game on TV then and was pretty shocked to see him in the outfield. He wasn't with the team long that year, last playing for the big club in late April.
His first try with the Mets was pretty great, too. He hit .417 in 12 at-bats in 2002. He was brought over from the Reds in the same trade that got the Mets Pedro Feliciano.
He also had one of the least likely awesome seasons of the past 20 years or so. With the Brewers in 2005, this Quadruple-A journeyman hit .306 with 183 hits, 13 home runs and 94 runs scored in 599 at-bats. He fell to .263 in 2006 and was out of the majors a couple years later.
