HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:
Gary from Chesapeake
May 24, 2007 In his first start as a Met on May 17, 2007, Jason Vargas pitched like a champ for six innings and like a chump for one, giving up a pair of two-run homers. He got out of the first two innings with less than ten pitches per inning. He retired the first ten batters allowing only two hits and a run though the first five innings. A pair of singles each proceeded a home run in the sixth, then he settled down and retired the Cubs 1-2-3 in the seventh, leaving down 5 to 1. He shaved his head to fit in with the rest of the team just before the game.
