He pitched in Japan in 2003. Good luck in the Olympics. It will be nice to have somebody there for Team USA who has international experience at that level.

First game with the Mets was very good. 4 runs in first was mostly due to Chavez and Delgado misplaying balls. Shut out the Cardinals the next four innings and left with the lead. Had been great in AAA and is now great in the olympic exhibitions. May be an important September call up.

Brandon Knight. I was lucky(?) enough to see him pitch in two games out of his four with the Mets. The second happened to be his final Mets game in which he pitched well enough to win the game. I liked his story of determination to make it to the Mets after a long run in the minors and in international ball. Was glad to see him win a game. Good luck Brandon wherever you are!

I mostly recall Brandon Knight being a somewhat well-regarded prospect in the Yankees system. His time as a Met was largely inconsequential, but it is pretty cool that he resurfaced in the majors with them in 2008 after not playing at that level since 2002.
After leaving New York, he went to South Korea, where he became a well-known name. He played there from 2009 to 2014, going 48-38 with a 3.84 ERA.
He pitched all of 31 1/3 innings in the majors (and 12 with the Mets), but at all levels he had over 140 wins and nearly 2,000 strikeouts. Crazy!
