April 27, 2013 I'm counting the days until he gets called up. I saw him pitch during spring training. He reminded me of Pedro Martinez, with his control and great change-up. He seemed ready for the bigs then, and he seems ready for the bigs now. His current numbers at Binghamton: 22.2 IP, 15 hits allowed, 27 strikeouts, 4 earned runs (1.59 ERA), 1 walk.
April 9, 2014 Struck out 9 in 5 innings in Las Vegas last night.
What are the Mets waiting for? This super-2 stuff is Wilpon BS.
We might have to wait until summer to see this guy in the big leagues, and in the meantime I hear some geniuses think it's a good idea to take to make him a reliever. I'm not just talking about the Mets front office. I'm talking about basically everyone who thinks this guy is a third starter (and therefore that it's okay to make him a reliever).
This guy is a number one or two starter, and I just saw him on TV in spring training once, a year ago. He had electric stuff. I can't believe he's still in the minor leagues.
Hello? McFly? Anyone home? Think McFly! Think!
May 24, 2014 Seen enough of Montero to know he needs to be sent to minors to never be seen again. Nice prospect Sandy.
