HERE IS WHAT OTHER METS FANS HAVE TO SAY:
November 25, 2010 They say he almost became the Mets manager! I was rooting for him! I hope that when Collins gets fired (which I know will happen!) that Chip gets his turn. Let's Go Mets!!!
May 28, 2011 Chip Hale hit the ball that sent Rodney McCray though the wall! Hale's minor league team was playing McCray's minor league team team in a game in Portland, Oregon and Hale hit the long fly ball that McCray tried to catch only to go through the stadium wall. McCray failed to come up with it and Hale was credited with a triple. That play, which occurred twenty years ago today, remains among the most memorable in baseball history. And now the two players most involved with it have Mets connections.
