Is this the best photo you have of Buck? It looks like a paparazzi picture of someone in hospice with a Mets hat crudely photoshopped on their head.
Besides the awful photo, my lasting impression of Buck thus far is that the 1996 Yankees and the 2001 Diamondbacks won it all the year after he left. I hope he wins at least two with the Mets, but if he doesn't, the Mets are guaranteed to win it all the year after he leaves.
I understand there was a lockout and all, but still, I don't think it applied to managers. Please find a better picture. This one reminds me of my dad when he got to the point that I had to spoon feed him.

Very excited to have Buck as the Mets Manager. This is big time hire and his resume speaks for itself. Did a fine job with the Yankees, D-Backs and Orioles. The players will respect him

It was said at the end of the 2022 season that Buck has never managed in the WS. Well the performance by the Mets the last couple of weeks of the season and the WC loss perhaps is the reason.I am a Mets fan from day one. (First game loss in St L, 11-4) til today. There is only one way to describe the teams performance. Choke artists!!!. That last series with the Braves….. All they had to do was win ONE of the three. They would have had the tie breaker (10-9).

As the old cliche goes ‘You can’t fire 25 (or 26) players. Today is 7/2. He will be relieved of his duties any day now. One interesting note for you younger fans: Nowadays baseball teams’ greatness is measured by their payroll. That is quite false. Maybe the Yankee teams (boo) of the 70s made that believable. It’s simply not a valid argument.

Well I guess I was off by 3 months. I hope the Mets promote someone from their coaching staff or someone from their farm system.
